Account Suspensions
How ProAngler handles account suspensions, deactivations, and the account lifecycle.
Account Suspensions & Account Status
ProAngler maintains an account status system to protect the safety and integrity of the platform. This page explains the possible states your account can be in, what triggers each state, and what options are available to you.
Account Status Overview
| Status | Set By | Description |
|---|---|---|
active | System | Your account is in good standing and fully accessible. |
inactive | You | You have voluntarily deactivated your account. A 45-day recovery window applies. |
suspended | ProAngler | Your account has been suspended due to a policy violation. |
archived | System | Your inactive account passed the 45-day recovery window and has been permanently archived. |
unclaimed | System | A shadow profile created on your behalf, not yet claimed by a user. |
Voluntary Deactivation
You may deactivate your own account at any time through Settings β Account β Deactivate Account.
When you deactivate:
- Your profile becomes hidden from public view immediately.
- Your content (posts, products, plugins) is no longer publicly accessible.
- Your Stripe subscription is cancelled if you are on a paid plan.
- You will receive a confirmation email containing a reactivation link valid for 45 days.
Reactivation
To reactivate a deactivated account, click the reactivation link in your deactivation email before the 45-day window expires. Your account and content will be fully restored.
If the 45-day window expires without reactivation, your account will be automatically archived and cannot be recovered.
Once an account reaches archived status it cannot be reactivated. Profile information is scrubbed from our systems. If you need access to your data, download it before deactivating using the Your ProAngler Data tool in account settings.
Account Suspensions
ProAngler may suspend an account at any time for violations of our Terms of Service, including but not limited to:
- Harassment, abuse, or threatening behavior toward other users.
- Posting illegal content or facilitating illegal activity.
- Spam, phishing, or unsolicited mass communications.
- Impersonation of another person or entity.
- Coordinated inauthentic behavior or platform manipulation.
- Repeated violations of platform rules after prior warnings.
What Happens When You Are Suspended
- You will receive an email notification at your registered email address explaining that your account has been suspended and the general reason for the action.
- Your profile and content are immediately hidden from public view.
- Your active session is blocked - any attempt to access protected features returns an error.
- You cannot log in to the dashboard or perform any account actions while suspended.
What Remains Accessible
- You can still contact support at support@proangler.com to inquire about your suspension or submit an appeal.
Appealing a Suspension
If you believe your account was suspended in error, you may contact us at support@proangler.com with the following information:
- Your ProAngler handle.
- A brief explanation of why you believe the suspension is incorrect.
- Any relevant context or evidence.
We review all appeals and will respond within a reasonable timeframe. We reserve the right to uphold, modify, or reverse a suspension at our sole discretion. Submitting an appeal does not guarantee reinstatement.
Content Removal and Visibility Limits
In addition to full account suspension, ProAngler may take more targeted actions including:
- Content removal - removing specific posts, products, or media that violate our policies, without suspending the full account.
- Visibility limiting - reducing the reach or discoverability of content or profiles flagged for policy violations without full removal.
- Feature restrictions - disabling specific capabilities (e.g., messaging, posting) on accounts with repeated minor violations.
These actions may be taken with or without prior notice, depending on the severity of the violation.
Permanent Bans
For severe violations - including but not limited to child exploitation material, credible threats of violence, or repeated suspension evasion - ProAngler may issue a permanent ban, which:
- Terminates the account immediately and permanently.
- Prohibits the user from creating new accounts on the platform.
- May be reported to relevant law enforcement authorities.
Permanent bans are not eligible for appeal.
Reporting a User
If you encounter a user or piece of content that you believe violates our policies, you can report it directly from any profile page using the Report option. Reports are reviewed by our team and may result in content removal or account action.
