Getting Started

Everything you need to go from zero to a live ProAngler profile.

Getting Started with ProAngler

Welcome to ProAngler - the platform built for anglers, guides, creators, and fishing brands. This guide walks you through the essentials so you can get your profile live and start sharing your content with the fishing community.

How It Works

ProAngler gives you a personal profile page at proangler.com/yourhandle. You control what appears on it using plugins - modular content blocks you can add, arrange, and customize from your dashboard. Think of your profile as your fishing home base: videos, products, blog posts, sponsors, and more, all in one place.

Step 1 - Create Your Account

Head to proangler.com/auth/signup and sign up with your email. You'll pick a handle during signup - this becomes your permanent profile URL, so choose something that represents you or your brand.

Your handle can only contain letters, numbers, and underscores. It must be at least 3 characters. Choose wisely - your handle is your identity on the platform.

Already have a profile that was created for you? Claim it instead.

Step 2 - Set Up Your Profile

Once you're in, head to your dashboard and fill out the basics:

  • Avatar - a clear photo of you or your brand logo
  • Banner - a wide header image (great for a trophy shot or landscape)
  • Display Name - your full name or brand name as you want it shown
  • Title - a short tagline like "Pro Bass Angler" or "Fishing Guide - Lake Tahoe"
  • Bio - two or three sentences about who you are and what you fish

These fields make your profile look credible and help people find you.

Step 3 - Add Plugins

Plugins are how you add real content to your profile. From the Plugins section in your dashboard, browse the available plugins and enable the ones that fit:

PluginBest For
Featured VideosHighlighting your best YouTube or Rumble clips
Logo BannerDisplaying your sponsors
Featured ProductsShowcasing gear you sell or recommend
Featured BlogSharing trip reports and tips
Live StreamSending viewers to your live content
Events ListPromoting tournaments or guide bookings

Start with one or two. You can always add more later.

Step 4 - Go Live

Your profile is public by default as soon as your account is active. Share your link - proangler.com/yourhandle - anywhere you'd normally drop your social links: Instagram bio, YouTube about page, email signature, or your boat wrap.
