Overview

ProAngler gives Pro and Business members a built-in blog — no third-party platform needed. Write directly from your dashboard, publish to your own profile URL, and let readers discover your content from the ProAngler home page and search.

Every post lives at:

blog.proangler.com/{your-handle}/{post-slug}

All your published posts are also discoverable at:

blog.proangler.com/{your-handle}

This page lists every published post in reverse-chronological order and is indexed by search engines.

Why Blog on ProAngler?

Fishing content goes beyond video. A well-written post on your go-to spring bass rig, tournament recap, or gear review builds trust with your audience, improves your visibility in search, and gives sponsors something to point their customers to.

  • Own your audience — posts live on your ProAngler profile, not an algorithm-controlled feed
  • Earn Angler Points — publishing a post for the first time awards you angler points
  • Showcase on your profile — use the Featured Blog plugin to surface your posts directly on your profile
  • SEO-ready — every post gets its own URL, title tag, and excerpt for search engines
  • Share to X — post your blog directly to X as a full article or a short summary post
  • Share to LinkedIn — share your posts to LinkedIn to reach a professional audience

Creating a Post

  1. Go to dashboard.proangler.com and click Blogs in the sidebar
  2. Click New Post
  3. Give your post a title — a URL slug is generated automatically
  4. Write your content in the rich-text editor (supports headings, bold, links, images, and more)
  5. Optionally use the AI Draft Assistant (Pro and Business) to generate a draft from a topic
  6. Optionally add a cover image, excerpt, and tags
  7. When you're ready, click Publish

Your post is live immediately at blog.proangler.com/@{handle}/{slug}.

Managing Your Posts

Go to Blogs in your dashboard navigation to see all your posts. From here you can:

  • See the status of each post (Draft or Published)
  • Create a new post
  • Open the editor for an existing post
  • Delete a post

Drafts

Posts start as drafts and are not visible to the public until you publish them. You can return to a draft at any time to continue editing. The slug is generated from the title while the post is still a draft — once published, the slug is locked so existing links don't break.

Editing a Published Post

You can edit a published post at any time. Changes are saved and reflected immediately — no need to unpublish first.

Unpublishing

Clicking Unpublish returns a post to draft status and removes it from public view. If you publish it again later, the post keeps its original URL and publish date.

Adding Blog Posts to Your Profile

Use the Featured Blog plugin to display a grid of your posts directly on your ProAngler profile page.

  1. Go to Plugins in your dashboard
  2. Enable Featured Blog
  3. Open the plugin editor and select which posts to feature
  4. Save and publish the plugin

Visitors on your profile will see a card grid linking directly to each post.

AI Draft Assistant

Pro and Business members can generate a blog post draft directly from the editor. Enter a topic or idea in the AI Draft Assistant panel in the left sidebar and click Generate Draft.

  • The AI writes a focused ~600 word draft structured with an intro, body sections, and a closing paragraph
  • If you already have content in the editor, you will be asked to confirm before it is replaced
  • The draft is a starting point — edit, expand, and make it your own before publishing
  • Usage resets every week

Sharing Your Post

Once a post is published, two sharing options appear in the left sidebar of the editor.

Share to X

Clicking Share to X opens X (Twitter) in a new tab with your post title and blog URL pre-filled as a tweet. Review the text, add anything you want, and post.

{Post Title}

{Excerpt (up to 200 characters)}

blog.proangler.com/{handle}/{slug}

No account connection required. You are already logged into X in your browser — one click and it's ready to go.

Prepare for X Article

X Articles let you publish long-form content natively on X. Clicking Prepare for X Article opens a panel with your full post formatted and ready to copy in sections.

SectionWhat it contains
TitleYour post title — copy with one click
BodyFull post body converted to plain text — headings, lists, blockquotes, and links preserved
Cover Image URLDirect link to your cover image for uploading to X
TagsYour post tags, comma-separated

Copy each section, then click Open X Articles → to go directly to x.com/compose/articles and paste.

Note: Images embedded in the body are not included in the plain text export. Download them separately from your post and insert them manually into your X Article.

Angler Points

Publishing a brand-new post for the first time awards 5 Angler Points to your pool. Points are only awarded on the initial publish — unpublishing and republishing the same post does not award additional points.

See Angler Points for more on how the points system works.
