Notifications

Control which in-app and email notifications you receive on ProAngler.

Notifications

ProAngler sends two types of notifications:

  • In-app β€” appear in the notification bell in your dashboard
  • Email β€” sent to your registered email address

Go to Dashboard β†’ Settings β†’ Notifications to manage your preferences.


Notification Channels

Each preference-gated notification has two independently toggleable channels:

In-appDelivered inside the ProAngler dashboard. Always accessible in your notification history.
EmailSent to your registered email address. Can be disabled per notification type.

Turning off a notification type disables both channels for that event unless noted otherwise.


Your Preferences

The following notifications can be individually enabled or disabled.

NotificationTrigger
You receive a messageSomeone sends you a direct message. The in-app channel is always on; only email is toggleable.
You receive a follow or hit a follower milestoneSomeone follows you, or your follower count crosses a milestone (10, 50, 100, 500, 1,000, 5,000).
You receive a tipA viewer sends you a tip.
Referral activityA new referral link is created on your account, or someone joins ProAngler using your referral link.
Your blog post is publishedA blog post you authored goes live.
Your plugin is publishedA plugin you published becomes live on your profile.
You're featured on ProAnglerYour profile, blog post, or news article is selected to appear in a featured section on ProAngler.
You earn a badgeA new badge is granted to your account.
Engagement milestoneA piece of your content (Trophy Wall entry, poll, Angler Points balance) crosses a vote or points milestone.
You receive a wait list signupA viewer joins a wait list on your profile.
Store order placed or fulfilledA customer places an order in your Angler Rewards Store, or an order ships.

System Notifications (Always On)

Some notifications cannot be disabled because they relate to account status or actions taken on your account. These always deliver in-app and may also send an email:

  • Welcome message when your account is created
  • Account upgraded to Pro or Business
  • Founding Member badge granted
  • Subscription cancelled
  • News article approved and published (for contributors)
  • News article removed due to a policy violation
  • New article pending review (for editors)
